Party Time. Excellent.

It was our recent (January is kind of recent...right? I blame the depressive Minnesota weather for my motivational delay.) pleasure to host a 2nd birthday bash for Ms. Ripley, daughter of Mommy's BFF and Lili's winter weekend playmate. Time, the perpetual mystery, continues to astonish. While the distance from zero to two baffles, the time from 1992--when I first met Ripley's mom--to 2011, is almost incomprehensible. That we've come so far, and now find ourselves in the pleasurable midst of our two brilliant, beautiful, darling little babes is a constant, palpable joy. Here's to you, Ripley Ellen. Cheers.

The annual birthday banner. A must for kids and adults alike.

Tutu! For two two!

Party prep with ceramic pig, unicorn, and pink tiger. Delicate party jewelry required.

As are tutus (in solidarity) and unicorn slippers.

Guacamole training starts early in our house.

Guests! And pug.

An ill-fated paper mache project. Turns out toddlers and Mod Podge don't really mix.

Cupcakes. Scotch. How we roll.

Presents!

Like daughters...

...like mothers.
